The Worst Salmon Toilets in Scotland (even worse than Trainspotting)!

In the 1996 film 'Trainspotting', Ewan McGregor descended into "the worst toilet in Scotland" to fish out his opium suppositories (shoved up his bum to combat his heroin withdrawal).

Worst Toilet #1

In my own personal hell, I've visited filthy feedlots across Scotland and the toxic toilets where salmon companies dump tonnes and tonnes of disease-ridden Scottish salmon (many killed by overdosing on drugs such as Azamethiphos, Deltamethrin and Hydrogen peroxide and where antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline and Florfenicol have been used on site).

You may have seen Mowi's toxic toilet overflowing with disease-ridden Scottish salmon in Netflix's 'Seaspiracy':

Or you may have caught sight of The Scottish Salmon Company's toxic toilet at Strondoir Bay in Loch Fyne as featured in the Kate Winslet-narrated film 'Eating Our Way to Extinction'

No wonder Leonardo DiCaprio (who endorsed 'Eating Our Way to Extinction' and is an active environmental campaigner) cautions against the consumption of farmed salmon in his Netflix smash hit 'Don't Look Up':

Don't look down is the cautionary warning if you don't want to vomit on 'Scottish' salmon – here are some stomach-churning videos of the worst toxic toilets found at salmon farms across Scotland:

Or welfare abuse uncovered by secret filming inside a harvesting station:

Sometimes the filth from Scottish salmon farms spills onto the road (like all those tourists in Scotland defacating by the roadside):

Or disease-ridden Scottish salmon is dumped illegally:

The dumping of diseased farmed salmon in the Outer Hebrides was exposed by the BBC One Show in 2018:

Video footage of dead farmed salmon piled up at the bottom of cages in Scotland was also broadcast by BBC Panorama in May 2019.

Video footage of dead salmon at Mowi's Poll Na Gille salmon farm was posted by David Ainsley in 2017:

Further video footage of morts being disposed of at Mowi's 'Bay of the Dead Heads' salmon farm near Craobh Haven were posted in September 2019:

Such is the horror of Scottish salmon farming that it could feature in a fishy follow up to 'Apocalypse Now':

Please join actor and Sea Shepherd activist Martin Sheen (he starred in Apocalypse Now) in pledging not to eat farmed salmon!

Pledge #18 Martin Sheen

Tourists visiting Scotland don't want to see or smell the filth of Scottish salmon.

Interesting fact – the music played over the 'worst toilet in Scotland' scene in Trainspotting is Brian Eno's 'Deep Blue Day'

Brian Eno is sadly involved in the greenwashing of toxic Scotish salmon via Client Earth (Brian Eno is a trustee of Client Earth where he is listed as "an active campaigner for human rights and the environment").

Scamon Scotland has invited Brian Eno to visit salmon farms this Summer and see for himself the worst toilets in Scotland.

Brian,

I love your music and have blogged today using the 'worst toilet in Scotland' scene from Trainspotting (which used your song 'Deep Blue Day'):

Suffice to say that Client Earth's involvement in greenwashing toxic Scottish salmon via the Sustainable Seafood Coalition is shameless – read more via: Greenwashing 'Sustainable' Salmon – how supermarkets brand themselves as "responsible" via ClientEarth!

Is this an issue which you could raise directly with Client Earth?  Your good name, as a trustee of Client Earth, is in danger of being dragged down into the gutter along with the Trainspotting toilet and disease-ridden Scottish salmon.

Scamon Scotland would like to invite you to Scotland this Summer to see for yourself the toxic nature of salmon farming and explain why Client Earth should flush Scottish salmon down the toilet instead of greenwashing it via the Sustainable Seafood Coalition.

More background explaining why Scottish salmon is not "responsibly sourced" (as championed by Client Earth) is detailed via:

Recently published data by the Scottish Government also illustrates the lethal nature of salmon farming in Scotland: Revealed: 30+ Million Dead Scottish Salmon Since 2017 – over 8 million morts reported last year & over half a million in first two weeks of 2022!!

And there's data on the increasing use of toxic chemicals on salmon farms across Scotland (most endorsed as "responsibly sourced" via Client Earth) via:

If you're into movies, then Netflix's 'Seaspiracy' and Kate Winslet's 'Eating Our Way to Extinction' feature the sordid side of Scottish salmon farming (even Leonardo DiCaprio cautions against fatty farmed salmon in his film 'Don't Look Up').

I am on 07771 541826 if you would like to talk about toxic toilets and schedule a visit to Scotland.

Thanks,
