Please include any planning documents, link to any documents on a portal at Highland Council, emails, photos, letters and any other information on the feeding system and feed barge currently installed at Ardmair salmon farm (the feed barge has apparently been on site since 2023).

Speaking to local residents it is not clear how and when any authorisation and planning approval for such a mechanised feeding system was given by Highland Council.
 
Is Wester Ross Salmon (Mowi) operating illegally at Ardmair without proper planning permission for a feed barge and automated feeding system?  If not, when was the public consulted and how was the planning decision made?
 
 
Clarification and further information would be much appreciated.  Please consider this a formal Freedom of Information request via the relevant FOI and Environmental Information regulations.

Further to our phone conversation earlier this afternoon, please pass this complaint onto the relevant HSE investigation team in Scotland.

 

It has come to $camon $cotland's attention that there is a health and safety hazard caused by feed pipes piled on salmon cages at Ardmair (Isle Martin) at Wester Ross Salmon (Mowi) near Ullapool.
