The Courier reported (24 March 2021) on "The shocking revelations of Netflix’s new documentary on marine pollution" citing shocking video footage from Corin Smith of disease-ridden salmon at The Scottish Salmon Company in Loch Roag on the Isle of Lewis:

Here's video footage shot by Scottish Salmon Watch at Mowi's Gorsten salmon farm in Loch Linnhe (similar to footage which may feature in 'Seaspiracy'):

And gruesome video footage of welfare abuse in Scottish salmon farms from photographer Corin Smith is expected to feature in 'Seaspiracy' (a follow up to 'Cowspiracy').

Scottish Salmon Watch estimate that over 40 million farmed salmon die in hatcheries and on sea cage salmon farms – that's a 50% mortality rate from hatch to 'catch':

However, the salmon farming industry in Scotland which is 99% owned by foreign interests (predominantly Norwegian) has refused to provide data on numbers of dead salmon since 2012 (arguing in 2013 that publication would be "commercially damaging").

The Sunday Mail reported on the "disease hell" on Scottish salmon farms back in November 2018:

Latvian TV also lifted the lid on disease-ridden Scottish salmon via an undercover program broadcast on 17 December 2018.  The Latvian broadcast – via a program called 'Hidden Camera' – included a report from the top of one of Mowi's skips laden with disease-ridden farmed salmon:

Over two years later, Mowi's Gorsten salmon farm in Loch Linnhe is still experiencing problems.  Inside Scottish Salmon Feedlots reported (1 March 2021):
