'Organic' Salmon Farming Quadruples in a Decade - 9% of Scottish farmed salmon now greenwashed by Soil Association!

The Scottish Fish Farm Production Survey 2021 (published earlier today – 27 October 2022 – by the Scottish Government) exposes the growing scam of 'organic' farmed salmon in Scotland – with 'organic' salmon farming production more quadrupling over the last decade from 4,597 tonnes in 2012 to 18,285 tonnes in 2021:

"So-called 'organic' salmon is a sham, scam and a consumer con," said Don Staniford, Director of $camon $cotland. "Shame on the Soil Association for greenwashing pharmed salmon as environmentally friendly. Mowi, Cooke Aquaculture and Organic Sea Harvest – the three salmon farming companies certified as 'organic' in Scotland – are a world removed from 'organic' farming. Organic salmon farming is an oxymoron."
