Sick ‘Scottish’ Sea Farms

 

 

Fish Farmer magazine reported (14 November 2019):

 

 

 

The issue of fast-tracking harvesting to mask disease problems at salmon farms was raised last year by the Scottish Parliament's inquiry into salmon farming. 

 

 

Cases of fast-tracking due to disease problems included Scottish Sea Farms sites in Loch Kishorn (as shown on the BBC One Show in December 2017):

 

 

 

 

Here's photos of disease-ridden salmon which lawyers acting for Scottish Sea Farms and The Scottish Salmon Company (unsuccessfully) tried to block.

Earlier this month, Scottish Salmon Watch revealed that the Scottish Government had failed in their attempt to block the disclosure of information detailing where Scottish Sea Farms import salmon ova (eggs).
